Users have problems with access privileges

A user cannot find a file or folder

The user must have Read access privileges to the volume where the file is located and to each folder in the path to the file.
At the user's computer, log on to the file server as an administrator, then locate the item using the Find command in the File menu. Then use the Get Info command in the File menu to examine the access privileges for the item and change them if necessary.
If necessary, change the user's access privileges to the file or folder.

The access privileges a user sets keep changing

The user is probably setting an invalid combination of access privileges.
There may be a problem with the AppleShare Parallel Data Structure (PDS) file. Use the AppleShare IP First Aid program to repair the file.
